Leon Callon has stepped down as AMD’s Northern Europe channel manager, after working at the company for more than two and a half years.
Callon (pictured left), who looked after the UK, Nordics and Benelux regions, has been replaced by Ben Rimmer (pictured right).
The pair had been working alongside each other at AMD over the past six months. Prior to that, they also picked up extensive experience at tech distributor Exertis.
It’s not the first time Rimmer has replaced Callon. At Exertis, the latter worked his way up to business development manager, and left the firm in January 2012, when Rimmer took on Callon’s previous role.
Callon first moved to AMD back in February 2013, while Rimmer joined AMD in April earlier this year as channel manager.
An AMD spokesperson told PCR: "Leon has decided to leave AMD and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
"The UK channel will be managed by Ben Rimmer who has been working alongside Leon over the past six months.
"Ben will continue to drive our focus on delivering products, partnerships, programs and technologies to the UK channel."
