Preben Fjeld will replace Parrish

Acer’s UK boss Gavin Parrish steps down

Acer’s UK boss has left the firm after five months in the new position.

Gavin Parish joined the firm back in January as country manager in the UK and Ireland.

Acer has revealed that Parish will be replaced by Preben Fjeld, the current country manager for Acer Norway.

An Acer spokesperson told PCR: “Gavin Parrish has left the business and has been replaced as UK country manager by Preben Fjeld. Preben will also continue to be country manager for Acer Norway.”

Parish joined Acer in 2011 where he took the role of consumer and B2B business unit director. He also previously worked at vendor HP and Kimberly-Clark.

This news comes after Acer revealed plans to expand its presence in the eSports market and showed off a host of new devices at a press event in New York.

The company currently has an eSports team that consists of six members and has also unveiled a line up of new Predator gaming devices, including a tablet.
