The controller will feature a standard 3.5mm headphone port

Microsoft leaks details of new Xbox One controller

Microsoft has leaked details of a revised Xbox One controller, which could be available in June and include a standard headphone connection.

On Microsoft’s Xbox One support website, the company has stated that the new controller will feature a 3.5mm headphone port. Currently, Xbox One owners have to use a stereo headset adapter to listen to headphones through the controller.

The statement read: “3.5-mm port (16). Used to connect compatible 3.5-mm audio devices. Only available on controllers released after June 2015.”

Other than that, the controller seems to boast all of the similar features of previous controllers, including a USB charge port, right and left triggers and a battery cover.

The controller is expected to be unveiled at the annual video game trade fair E3 next month.
