Amazon is to launch its new Amazon Home Services store, which includes over two million unique offerings from 700 professionals.
Customers can now purchase professional services through the etailer in the same way that they would buy any other product.
Services include anything from TV installation and electricians to rubbish disposal and cleaners.
Each professional is handpicked by Amazon and has an invite only policy for those wanting to be included in its listing.
Background checks and insurance checks are carried out, plus the professional is expected to maintain a high standard of work.
Service pros fight for custom with competitive prices, top quality work and of course good reviews. If a lower price is found elsewhere, then Amazon will even match it and the final bill is only paid when the service is completed.
Amazon Home Services is currently live across the US in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
A spokesperson from Amazon told PCR: "This offering is only in the US at this time and no international expansion date has been set. Stay tuned."
Shoppers are also promised ‘Happiness Guaranteed’, so if the customer is not fully satisfied with their experience, Amazon will ensure the job gets done right, or offer a full refund.
In other Amazon news, the etailer announced that it is offering unlimited cloud storage with Amazon Cloud Drive, plus two new storage plans for customers.
