Moore replaces West as business group director for IT

GfK promotes Carl West and Megan Moore

Analyst GfK has promoted IT channel veteran Carl West to supply chain director, with Megan Moore filling his previous role of business group director.

West will now predominantly look after supply chain management, distribution and forecasting across a host of categories, not just IT.

With more than 16 years’ experience in software and hardware sales as a vendor and within distribution, West has a great understanding of channel, distribution, public sector/corporate channel and the internal dynamics of the retail and vertical reseller channels.

His GfK career history includes managing the research panels for IT, office, stationery, photo and musical instruments. He is also the GfK representative for CompTIA and is a regular speaker at market conferences.

Megan Moore takes on West’s previous role of business group director for telecoms, IT, office and stationery.

She was working within the retail sales tracking division at GfK prior to this move, and has over seven years’ experience working within the telecoms market.

Moore has historically worked closely with top global manufacturers, operators and retailers, advising and consulting with them on market developments and future growth opportunities.

She has also led the telecoms retail sales tracking panel for two years and was also involved in developing GfK’s Mobile Insights in the UK, which mixes big data usage metrics from mobile operators and GfK’s own consumer data.
