The new OS is the first that comes with support for the upcoming Apple smartwatch

Apple iOS 8.2 beta adds support for Apple Watch

The beta version of Apple’s iOS 8.2 for iPhone has added Bluetooth Support for the Apple Watch.

A release date for the wearable device hasn’t been confirmed, but the mention of an Apple Watch app in the device’s Bluetooth menu indicates that it could be sooner than we may think, reports 9to5Mac.

iOS 8.2 won’t necessarily be the next update of Apple products, Macrumors reports that will definitely be an 8.1.3 version containing bug fixes and other minor updates.

The only official release date so far is ‘early 2015’, with March as the most likely month to expect the Apple Watch to hit the shelves.

In other Apple related news, fake Apple Watches were being sold at CES 2015 for £17.86, and all prices in the European App Store have increased.
