"We can help you make your IT business better," promises trade association

CompTIA signs up to PCR Boot Camp North

IT trade association CompTIA will have a stand at PCR Boot Camp North next month.

The conference and expo – held at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, on November 12th – is free to resellers and retailers, who can sign up here.

Vaughan Shayler (pictured), Director of Channel Strategy at CompTIA, said: "We’re really excited about PCR Boot Camp North. It’s a perfect fit for CompTIA’s value proposition, which states, quite simply, that ‘We can help you make your IT business better’.

"Partnering with PCR and its excellent programme of events helps us to get this powerful and appealing message out there, by engaging with resellers and vendors where it matters most – at the coalface.

"The first Boot Camp event, in May, at the Brewery in London, was a huge success for us, enabling us to articulate CompTIA’s work and the benefits of membership in a direct, open, one-to-one environment. There was enthusiastic support for the voice that CompTIA gives to the IT industry, and we’re expecting a similar response at the Bootcamp North event in Leeds, too."

CompTIA also runs its own series of meetings for the UK channel, and it says Boot Camp allows it to share best practice and cross-promote.

At Boot Camp North, it will be introducing the two largest events in the CompTIA calendar – the UK Channel Community Meeting on November 5th, and the EMEA Member and Partner Conference on November 6th.
