The iPad Mini and iPhone 6 Plus could be converted into a portable virtual reality headset, thanks to Toronto design firm Metatecture.
The AirVR is seeking funding on Kickstarter and hopes to be available for an affordable $49 in 2015.
The device simply works by sliding the iPad or iPhone into the AirVR, where the straps can be adjusted to fit around each user’s head.
A pair of goggles has also been secured to the AirVR, which will provide the imagery.
It features 64-bit processors and graphic systems to provide clear 3D images without the need of extra wires.
However, as the images suggest, the AirVR will be stuck directly onto the user’s face with the chosen Apple device, which may limit mobility, not mentioning the fact users may look a little odd with an iPad stuck to their head.
The company is seeking $20,000 in funding, and currently has secured $3,540 with 29 days to go.
This news comes after Apple revealed the iPhone 6, 6 Plus and Apple Watch last week.
