Device may feature a 12.9-inch display as Tim Cook hopes to shake up the iPad line

Apple preparing largest-ever iPad for 2015

Apple’s suppliers are allegedly manufacturing the largest-ever iPad, which is set to launch during 2015.

Bloomberg has reported that sources close to the matter believe the new device will feature a 12.9-inch screen.

Production for the larger device is scheduled to commence during the first quarter of next year, however, this has not been confirmed.

Currently, the firm produces iPads with 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch displays, making this new device the largest-ever produced.

Sources have also said that Apple has been working with suppliers for at least a year to develop a new range of touch-screen devices.

As well as this, allegedly Apple will also be increasing the display size of its range of iPhones.

Bloomberg revealed that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, is working to shake up the iPad line, after sales of the tablets declined for two straight quarters.

This news comes after rumours suggest that the iPhone 6 will be unveiled this September at a press event.
