Dogecoin to take on Bitcoin

As Bitcoin continues to become more mainstream, a new open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency has emerged in the form of Dogecoin.

Jackson Palmer and @BillyM2K have decided to combine virtual currency with this year’s best-loved meme, Doge.

For those who don’t know what Doge is, the meme features a picture of a Shiba Inu whose inner monologue is scattered around the picture.

While one Bitcoin is trading for around $735, one Dogecoin is currently worth only $0.00023, meaning now is probably the best time to waste some money on nothing, or possibly invest in some virtual currency that may eventually take off…

Move over Bitcoin, there may be a new doge in town. Wow.
