Firm working hard to meet demand for new console

Microsoft reported to launch new version of Xbox One in 2014

As the Xbox One arrives today (November 22nd), sources from the supply chain claim Microsoft is planning to launch a new version as early as Q1 2014.

According to DigiTimes, the sources say they have been asked by Microsoft to being shipments on new models in Q1, revealing that shipments of the current Xbox One from the manufacturing side began at one million units a month in Q3.

The news comes as Microsoft has admitted that it is struggling to meet demand for the next-gen console.

Xbox VP Phil Harrison told MCV that the Xbox One will sell out and there will be difficulty getting stock, saying the firm is doing everything it can to accelerate stock replenishment.
