Google Search 3.1 for Android is rolling out to users now

Google takes on Siri with Android Search app update

The new version of Google Search for Android can hold a conversation.

Google can now verbally ask for clarification when there is not enough information for a command.

For example, if you ask Google to send a text message, it will ask who you want to send it to. Once Google has all the info it needs it will ask you if you are ready to send the message.

Before the update ‘send a text message’ would just open up the texting app, but now Google Search is closing the gap between itself and Siri with its step-by-step voice commands.

Google Search 3.1 for Android is rolling out to users now. It is expected to make an appearance in the Google Search app for iPhone very soon.
