New monitor range features screens designed for B2B, retail, education and training markets

Iiyama Prolite monitors: To touch or not to touch?

The Prolite monitor range from Iiyama offers users the choice of Quad HD resolutions or up to ten-point multi-touch.

The XB2779QS offers a 27-inch LED-backlit IPS monitor, which displays up to a Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440. Display inputs include HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and VGA. The display’s stand is height adjustable and pivots. With 178/178-degree viewing angles, Iiyama boasts there is almost no off-angle colour shift.

Designed for the B2B, retail, education and training markets, the touch-screen TH4264MIS-1 is a 42-inch Full HD Large Format Display. The screen registers up to six individual points of touch via infrared, meaning multiple users can all use the display at once. The screen’s multi-touch functionality requires Windows 7 or 8.

The TH4262MIS-1 also features support for Picture-By-Picture (PBP) and Picture-In-Picture (PIP), useful for video conferences and other multi-content actions. The screen displays in 1920×1080 Full HD, and can input VGA, RCA, S-Video, DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort, RS232C and USB.

Also joining the ProLite line is the T2735MSC.

Another touchscreen, the T2735MSC is a 27-inch ‘Edge to Edge’ glass display with ten-point capacitive technology, which means the screen is durable and won’t have its touch capability affected by scratches.

Touches can also be registered while wearing gloves, or using a magnetic ball. The Full HD 1920×1080 screen is designed to lie flat using a hinged stand, so that users can operate the monitor as if it were a large tablet.

The screen also has an integrated webcam and microphone for video calling, can input via DVI-D, HDMI and D-Sub and output through a USB 3.0 hub.
