The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids – a tablet specially made for children – will arrive in Korea, China, the US and more from September.
A UK launch date has yet to be announced.
The tablet’s pre-loaded content includes educational games, entertainment and e-book apps. It also lets parents decide which apps their kids have access to and set time limits, plus it will come with an easy-to-grip pen.
JK Shin, CEO and head of IT and mobile communication at Samsung Electronics, said: "It’s no secret that kids are using technology more than ever before. We saw an opportunity to create a device just for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user experience filed with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love."
