Music sensation Will.i.am is launching a tech dog to rival the Furby Boom this Christmas, which he hopes will "rule the house".
The Black Eyed Peas man was apparently inspired after visiting Harrods and spotting a stuffed animal, a speaker and a MiFi wireless connector box, reports Wired magazine, as covered by Metro.
He took the items home, ripped the animal apart, put the connector in its head, the speaker in its belly and an iPhone in its mouth. He’s using the contraption as a prototype for the toy dog that he wants to have working in time for Christmas.
"I want to be able to talk to it," he said. "I want to be able to tell it: ‘Play this song, download it.’ I want to be able to tell it: ‘Put the next game on Tivo.’ I want this thing to rule my house."
"I want my technology where I can have a conversation with it. I think there is going to be something that interacts with us that is a little more personal than my phone."
Hasbro’s Furby Boom, the follow-up to last year’s popular revamped pet tech toy Furby, also arrives in the UK this holiday season.
