Training roadshow hits Micro-P, Stone and BT Business

Samsung SSD goes on the road

Last month storage vendor Samsung SSD took its products to the road to get its message out to key distributors and resellers.

The whole tour ran over three days in early March, when Samsung visited the call centres of Micro-P, BT Business and Stone.

The firm offered hands-on training sessions aimed at enlightening the sales teams on the benefits of adding Samsung SSDs in both consumer and business users’ PCs. Each session ran through how easy it is to upgrade a laptop or PC, with a demo showing the software migration along with the hardware upgrade. As a bonus, each group participated in a questionnaire with a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The stand itself was made up of three main areas. a) product demonstrations b) upgrade demonstrations and c) boot up comparisons, along with videos emphasising the benefits of SSD upgrades.

In attendance from Samsung was Stefanie Sears-Black who represents the whole SSD division in the UK along with the SSD Product Manager Justin Erfort and representatives from Samsung SSD PR agency Kuoda, Chris and James Dean.

Stefanie Sears-Black, head of business development – memory, for Samsung SSD, commented: “The Samsung SSD training road show was designed to support and train partners targeting the rapidly growing B2B market that can achieve real benefits in upgrading to an SSD from a traditional hard drive. With the range of hardware and software products our partners manage the benefits of SSD may not be understood naturally, but by bringing the products to life with interactive training and Q&A sessions we hope our partners will take Samsung SSD to the next level in the UK B2B space.”
