Brigantia adds additional hardware support and partner sales opportunities

Opinion: Iain Shaw discusses Brigantia’s monthly regional seminars

Iain Shaw looks at Brigantia’s recent partnership with Medi Productions and the opportunity it provides to its members, as well as its upcoming events.

Brigantia has recently signed an agreement with Medi Productions of France to provide hardware support and a UK partner sales programme for their Vet’Kiosk player and cloud publishing system. Those who have visited their local veterinary practice over recent years may well have seen the Vet’Kiosk in action.

The Vet’Kiosk player software sits on a small form ASUS PC and outputs through either single or multiple large screen monitors in the waiting room area, delivering rich content that includes practice information and fun cartoons covering topical issue such as fleas, worms and diet.

The Vet’Kiosk is a cloud publishing application. Brigantia members are now being paid to swap in and out any faulty Vet’Kiosk players and also get the trusted advisor opportunity to sell replacement or additional screens and any other requirements that the practice may have from time to time. Brigantia members joining the sales programme also receive a percentage of the recurring revenue from the Vet’Kiosk subscription that each practice pays on top of the hardware and install sale.

Given there are over 3,500 veterinary practices in the UK, the Medi Productions programme represents an excellent opportunity in a niche vertical market.

2013 is going to be the year of recurring revenue programmes at Brigantia as we add additional hardware support and partner sales opportunities to our growing list of recurring revenue opportunities.

What Brigantia offers vendors and service providers is a network of local computer experts who can cost-effectively reach niche vertical markets and support the wider horizontal market at a neighbourhood level thus maximising the impact of any national advertising and marketing campaigns undertaken.

To assist our members and potential new members, Brigantia is running four monthly regional seminars in the first half of 2013 for a maximum of 50 delegates, where we will be delivering not just the big picture but content that will help members to take immediate advantage of a
selection of the programs available.

Our February meeting saw members treated to talks from Medi Productions about the Vet’Kiosk support and sales opportunity, Techgate about its flexible Cloud infrastructure and business continuity services, AVG about its recently launched Cloudcare service, Email Laundry about the new Brigantia branded mail management program, and from a number of other high profile vendors and service providers with some excellent opportunities. A further four seminars and the 16th annual conference in the second half of the year will build on what is achieved in the first half.

Iain Shaw is the founder and a director of Brigantia, the UK and Irelands largest subscription membership community of independent computer solution providers.
