Sony has unveiled the Xperia Acros S and the Xperia Go – two new waterproof Android smartphones.
Both phones are set for a release in the Q3 this year, and will run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), though an upgrade to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is promised.
The Xperia Acros S is aimed towards the high-end of the smartphone market and includes a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, NFC connectivity, a 12MP pear camera, and a 4.3-inch 720p display.
The Xperia Go is aimed towards the lower end of the market and features a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 screen and has 8GB of on-board storage.
Both are water resistant, offer dust and bump protection, and have scratch resistant screens that have the ability to track finger input when covered in water.
