Apple has filed a patent for a piece of software that allows parents to monitor their children’s text messages for ‘objectionable content’.
According to Techcrunch, the application seeks to address a gap in the market whereby there is “no way to monitor and control text communications to make them user appropriate.”
The patent describes an application that monitors content of text messages, and will either block the message entirely or can be configured to alert the user or other designated individuals – presumably the parents.
