Intel has launched a new tool to aid cloning of physical hardrives to the firm’s range of SSD drives.
Called the Intel Data Migration Software, the tool was developed by disk backup utility specialist company Acronis and is available as a free download from the company’s web site.
The software allows users to copy a hard drive including operating system applicatms documents and settings to a new intel SSD "in a matter of minutes."
The software is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP and Intel has also supplied a user guide to guide through the transition.
Users of laptops will need a third-party SATA-to-USB cable adaptor or they can clone the drive on a regular PC obviously. The Intel Data Mgiration Software is available here.
