Three Home Premium upgrades for $149.99

Microsoft reintroduces Windows 7 Family Pack

Microsoft has reintroduced the three-license Windows 7 Family Pack bundle that was discontinued last year.

In a move which makes the 1st year anniversary of the launch of Windows 7, the Family Pack will arrive in retail in the US on the 3rd of October, launching in the UK, Canada, Germany, France and Australia on the 22nd of October.

As with the previous version, the licenses are upgrades and will require PCs already running Vista or XP but the $149.99 asking price saves over $200 compared to the current asking price of three seperate licenses.

Microsoft previously discontinued the Family Pack around December 2009 facing much criticism from would-be customers in the process.
