Comet has seen its year-on-year profits rise by 14 per cent , making £11.5 million in fiscal 2009, compared to £10.1 million in the previous financial year.
According to the BBC, Comet’s parent group Kesa has attributed the growth to a renewed focus on customer service.
Meanwhile, Retail Week reports that Kesa is planning to refurbish a number of Comet stores in line with a planned refresh of the Comet brand, which would also see the company expand its portfolio to include high margin small domestic appliances.
