Retailer expands dedicated electricals chain, creates 220 jobs

John Lewis opens second At Home store

John Lewis is opening its second At Home store, which cover electricals, home technology and furnishing, following the success of its trial outlet in Dorset.

According to ERT Online, the new store will be located in Purley Way, Croydon and John Lewis is currently on the hunt for 220 full time and part time employees to cover sales, specialist advice and catering.

“This is an exciting time for us and we are looking for people with a wide variety of skills and a positive can-do attitude,” said John Lewis’ recruitment and training manager Amanda Sweetland. “The new branch in Croydon will be different from our full-line department stores, but will have a strong focus on customer service and quality.

“We need people who are enthusiastic team players, can demonstrate a passion for retail and can deliver an outstanding customer experience. With seven-day trading, we are recruiting for a broad range of roles and offer flexible employment contracts, both full and part-time.”
