Many SMBs might not know there is an alternative, Sage exec says

Mamut looks to challenge Sage

Accounting software vendor Mamut is planning to mount a “serious challenge” against market leader Sage, the firm has said.

Mamut currently holds the second or third spot in the UK accounting software sector, the firm’s UK country manager, Bryan Richter, told PCR.

“Sage is the largest accounting software in the UK but many SMBs – although they may not like Sage’s software – don’t realise there is a viable alternative,” he said.

“Our goal is very much to establish ourselves as a firm number two and then give a serious challenge to Sage. To do that, we need to stay focused on our customers, focused on our product. Our priority is to provide the best software for the UK’s small businesses at a price they can afford.”
