Distributor takes part in 'Sparkle for Saint Michael's' campaign

CCI donates to local hospice

CCI Distribution has donated £500 to a hospice in Harrogate instead of its usual company Christmas card scheme.

The distributor’s Gemma Nichols and Dominic Rix presented the cheque to Saint Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate, a charity that provides specialist care and support to those living with terminal illness and bereavement.

The donation is part of the charity’s ‘Sparkle for Saint Michael’s’ campaign, which encourages businesses and individuals to give donations instead of cards this festive season.

CCI raised their contribution by cutting the number of Christmas cards sent out, as well as a round of internal fundraising.

"Saint Michael’s is a wonderful organisation that relies on charitable donations to ensure that it can continue to provide a first rate service and quality care to all who need and deserve it in our community," said Nichols, a marketing and communications executive at CCI. "A cause close to my own heart, Saint Michael’s incredible staff and volunteers do everything they can to ensure that families are made as comfortable as possible during difficult times – CCI is therefore delighted to be able to help everyone at the hospice enjoy this Christmas."

“We are extremely grateful to CCI for getting involved our Sparkle campaign,” said Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s. “Their support will help us to continue responding to the increasing numbers of local people who are requesting our help.”
