Apple: Leopard fault ?extremely rare?

Apple is searching for a solution to an existing flaw in its Snow Leopard OS that unexpectedly wipes user data, the company has announced.

Complaints from Snow Leopard owners have surfaced only recently, many of which detail an error where their user data becomes erased if people sign into the OS as a guest.

Apple has insisted that the problem is not widespread.

“We are aware of the issue, which occurs only in extremely rare cases, and we are working on a fix,” the company stated.

The number of deleted accounts and vulnerable computers remains uncertain.
