New service will be up against Google and Microsoft equivalents

IBM to launch corporate webmail

IBM is introducing a cheap corporate webmail service which will compete with Google Apps, according to reports.

An IBM spokesman told Reuters that the company starts selling email service LotusLive iNotes next week at a price of $36 per user per year. Google’s service, which has recently experienced a few high-profile outages, costs around 25 per cent more.

iNotes will also compete with Microsoft’s webmail service, which costs around $120 per user per year.
