The retail group responds to our ?PC World embarrassed? report

Carphone Warehouse slams ?big high street names?

Carphone Warehouse CEO Andrew Harrison believes that the UK’s biggest IT retailers are not prioritising the interests of the consumer.

In response to a new survey on customer service standards – a report which embarrassed PC World with particularly low results – Harrison stressed the importance of customer care.

“It is clear from this research that many big high street names are not doing enough to put the interests of their customers first, and are losing out as a result,” he said.

Harrison added that electrical retailers are “at the forefront of how society is changing”, adding that each retail chain has a unique opportunity to make sense of complicated products.

“We all know that modern technology can be confusing at the best of times,” he said, “which is why retailers need to invest more in internal training and technical support.”
