New laptops for business, while consumers get more freedom over contracts

Orange sweetens laptop deals

Orange has announced an overhaul of its laptop ranges, as well as changes to its consumer mobile broadband offerings.

The changes to the consumer package have been implemented to give them more flexibility, according to the network operator. 1GB, 3GB and 5GB packages will be offered, with customers being able to choose between an 18 or 24 month contract.

Business customers will be able to choose from a new range of laptops and netbooks from HP, Toshiba and Asus.

"Whether at home, work or on the road, people need the right tools to stay in touch," commented director of devices at Orange François Mahieu. "Our new laptop range is designed to reflect the way individuals work and live – giving them the ability to send emails, surf the web or access multimedia applications."
