Disklabs heads up regulatory body for sector

Data recovery market gets trade association

The data recovery industry now has a dedicated trade body called the International Professional Data Recovery Association.

The organisation has been set up by Simon Steggles, a director at data recovery firm Disklabs, reports HEXUS.channel.

The body was apparently setup to combat the existence of unqualified or unscrupulous firms portending to fix customers lost data problems, but in effect delivering sub-standard and sometimes counter-effective services – which firms like Dislabs claim give the whole sector a bad name.

The firm’s website can be found here.
