Acer has revealed a second set of smartphones, with some models expected to be priced at no more than €49.
According to the Register the new range, which is still under codename, will come with a camera and GPS as standard, and run with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.
The top end F1 has been described as a ‘very slick high end device’ by the head of Acer’s Smart Handheld Business Group, Aymer de Lencquesaing.
De Lencquesaing also described the market as being ‘more price sensitive,’ and as a result the L1 will follow a more familiar format and lower pricing, while the C1 and E1 will be pitched at the ‘my first smartphone’ segment.
