MWC: War is over and love is in the air: Nokia and Qualcomm end long running spat to work on phones

Qualcomm and Nokia to work together

The two companies, which have spent many years suing each other over patents, will develop UMTS devices, initially for North America, based on S60 software and Qualcomm’s Mobile Station Modem MSM7xxx-series and MSM8xxx-series chipsets.

The first models should ship in mid-2010 and be compatible with the forthcoming Symbian Foundation platform.
