Rumours emerge pointing to first ever mass redundancy push at software giant

Microsoft to let 15,000 staff go?

Numerous reports stating that Microsoft is readying to lay off 15,000 of its 91,000 strong work force have emerged on the internet.

If true, it would represent the first mass-redundancy plan the firm has ever embarked upon. Most of the threatened positions will apparently be in the firm’s online arm MSN.

The reports claim that the first jobs will be cut form January 15th.
