Former MSN manager to oversee Yahoo news and entertainment web content

Yahoo hires ex-Microsoft exec

Internet search firm Yahoo announced on Monday that it has hired former MSN general manager Jeff Dossett to take charge of its news and entertainment sites in the United States.

Dossett replaces another former Microsoft employee, Scott Moore, who has performed the role over the last three and a half years.

The change comes after Yahoo announced the planned cut of ten per cent of its workforce before the end of the year as its third quarter profit dropped by 64 per cent.
