Network operator sinks its teeth into suggestions that it and Apple were preparing deal

O2 crushes MacBook bundle rumours

O2 has moved to squash suggestions that it and Apple are preparing a deal that would see the Cupertino-based firm bundle its MacBook range with mobile broadband, as reported by PC Retail on Friday.

Speaking to The Register, a spokeswoman for O2 said that it has: "no such plans to launch an Apple MacBook laptop offer," adding that the initial report from Mobile Today was "untrue".

The report of the move was widely seen as a response by O2 and Apple to the rise of netbook mobile broadband bundles.
