Plans to add another 60 stores by next year as firm ramps up laptop operation

Orange expands retail operation

Mobile network operator Orange is to expand its retail presence with a drive to open new outlets across the country, as the firm ramps up its laptop operation.

Orange plans to open 60 new stores by the end of next year and is to refurbish a further 100 of its existing outlets.

In a scheme that was piloted in Cardiff, the new stores will follow a new unified design format with a new black exterior and updated signage.

Orange head of retail Sian Doyle said: “We are already seeing the benefit our refurbishment programme has on customer sales and that is why it is fundamental that all our stores, new and old, reflect the needs of the 21st century customer.”
