Asset transaction sees peripherals firm go international

Ideazon acquired by SteelSeries

SteelSeries has acquired its channel competitor Ideazon, maker of the customisable Zboard gaming board.

Danish firm SteelSeries is known for manufacturing a wide variety of high-end gaming peripherals including headsets, keyboards, mice and gaming surfaces, as well as involving itself in a wide range of gaming events.

The new organisation will be based in Copenhagen with offices in North America and Asia.

“This acquisition will further establish SteelSeries as a leading global gaming peripherals manufacturer,” said Jacob Wolff-Petersen, Founder of SteelSeries. “The synergies between these two companies are evident in the design, relationships and industry influence that both companies bring to the table to create this new gaming powerhouse.”
