BSA claims business piracy in decline

A report from the Business Software Alliance has shown that for the first time the use of illegal or unlicensed software is on the decline.

Its latest figures have shown that global piracy rates have dropped, down one per cent from 27 per cent to 26 per cent. The BSA that the drop is a sign that its strategy is beginning to work.

Glasgow was the first in a range of regional visits by the body, with Manchester’s firms set to be the next to be raid if it has reasonable suspicion they are using illegal software.
