Ahead of the looming launch in March of the first ever PC Retail Awards, current editor Scott Bicheno is switching to the role of associate editor.

As part of the move, PC Retail’s publisher Intent Media is now seek a new day-to-day editor. The successful applicant will work from Intent’s HQ in Hertford, just north of London. Those interested in applying for the position should email managing editor Lisa Foster with a covering letter and CV. Editorial training will be given, but an understanding of the PC and IT sectors is vital.

Bicheno will remain involved with PC Retail but is also pursuing wider career interests elsewhere.

"Scott has done a fantastic job taking PC Retail to such a strong position in the market, which gives us the perfect platform to launch the PC Retail Awards from in March. We’re very excited about where we are heading in 2008," commented publisher Stuart Dinsey.

"More news soon, but one thing is for certain – we will ensure that the new editor has a similarly deep understanding of the trade landscape."
