Now Apple allegedly files iWatch trademark in Mexico, Japan

The Apple iWatch rumour mill is continuining – reports suggests the product has now been trademarked in Mexico, Japan and other countries.

9to5Mac.com reports the device has also been registered in Taiwan and Turkey.

It states Apple requested the trademark with with Mexico’s Institute of Industrial Property. Apple has apparently filed the iWatch trademark under two categories relating to the hardware and software of mobile devices.

The product is said to include sensors which collect data about the user, as well as providing mapping, messaging and phone apps which could interact with other iOS devices.

The news comes after Apple reportedly filed for the iWatch trademark in Russia last month.

Other smart tech watches in the works include the Foxconn smartwatch and Poppy Kickstarter watch, while a Google watch is said to be in production.
