Dealer services group reports consistently steady sales of laptops

Notebooks outselling tablets three-to-one – Synaxon

Dealer services group Synaxon UK is seeing strong sales of notebooks compared to tablet computers.

Mike Barron, UK channel director, says that business notebooks are steady, but overall notebooks are outperforming tablets by three-to-one.

Synaxon UK sales charts seen by PCR show consistently steady sales of laptops from January 2014 to February 2015, while tablet sales tend to peak and dip slightly more sporadically throughout certain times of the year.

"From the data visible to us through our EGIS platform we see a fairly steady trend on business notebook sales with a peak of £1.2 million in March 2014 as expected," said Barron.

"We see that notebooks are still out performing tablets three to one. PC/notebook/tablet is an area that Synaxon is heavily focusing on so we expect to see these figures rise steadily through 2015 and beyond."

The market has reported a resurgence in laptop sales over the past few months.
