Minecraft toy range launch to be celebrated at Forbidden Planet event

Specialist retailer Forbidden Planet is to hold an all-day event for Minecraft fans on December 7th.

To celebrate the launch of the Minecraft collection of toys, the Forbidden Planet store in Shaftesbury Avenue, London, will be host to a number of activities.

From 11am until 3pm, the Minecraft character ‘Steve’ will make appearances, presenting fans with a photo opportunity.

Fans who choose to appear in costume themselves could also be set to benefit – the first 30 to turn up dressed as Steve will receive a Minecraft goody bag.

Postcards with unique codes on will be given out throughout the day, with the chance to win Minecraft prizes.

Those attending the launch will be the first to see the new range of Minecraft papercraft kits, with a large window display and sample pieces to try out in-store.

“We’re very excited to be holding the one and only launch event for the new Minecraft toy collection on what is set to be one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year,” commented Steve Byfield, Store Manager at Forbidden Planet.

“Minecraft is a perfect fit for our customers and to be able to offer them this special activity in the run up to Christmas is fantastic.”
