Microsoft is also launching the new Nokia 130 for €19

Microsoft pokes fun at Apple with Surface Pro 3 ads

Microsoft has launched three new adverts, mocking Apple’s MacBook Air, comparing the laptop with the company’s new Surface Pro 3.

Each advert points out the functionality of the tablet hybrid, as well as highlighting its multitasking features and expandable hardware, which it says the MacBook lacks.

The adverts also end with the tagline, ‘The tablet that can replace your laptop’.

However, this is not the first time Microsoft has poked fun at Apple, with previous adverts of the Nokia Lumia claiming to have better apps than other companies, such as Apple, as well as publicly bashing the iPad Air.

The Surface Pro 3 was originally released in May, and Microsoft offered MacBook Air customers $650 to trade in their laptop for the Pro.

In other news, Microsoft has also announced that the new Nokia 130 basic mobile device will be available for €19 (£15), in a range of colours, including black, white and red.

The new device will feature a 1.8-inch colour display, a built-in flashlight, single and dual SIMs offering standby times of up to 36 days, and also supports SD cards of up to 32GB.

The Nokia 130 will be available this quarter.
