Interactive Ideas announces withdrawal from retail product distribution

Interactive Ideas is withdrawing from retail product distribution to focus on its enterprise software distribution business.

Mike Trup, Interactive Ideas managing director commented: ‘The past 4 years have seen tremendous growth achieved by our Enterprise software and services business with our retail business now accounting for less than seven per cent of our total revenues.

“In this challenging environment for retail, we felt the time had come to move to a 100 per cent focus on our enterprise software and services business. This will free up company resources both in terms of management time and liquidity for investment in this fast growing sector.

“We see multiple opportunities in the Infrastructure software market such as Open Source, Virtualization and Cloud for the quality of service, flexibility and value-added model that we provide in the U.K. and internationally, as well as our services portfolio.”

In the last four years the company has more than tripled sales to £35.5 million and invested £1 million in a new office and training facility to support the growth of the enterprise software and services division.
