First pictures of new AMD Radeon graphics card emerge

The first pictures of AMD’s latest graphics card, dubbed the Radeon R9 390X, have hit the web.

Earlier this month, AMD revealed the specs of its new 300 Series GPU range, however this includes the Radeon R9 380, R9 370 and R9 360 cards – not a high-end 390X, which has yet to be officially announced.

Johan Andersson, technical director for the Frostbite engine at developer Electronic Arts, posted the following picture on Twitter:

It prompted AMD’s Radeon Twitter account to tweet the following:

The picture matches another leaked image apparently showing the new 390X, which was published a few weeks back by wccftech.com:

You can expect to hear more about AMD’s GPU line-up from June 2nd to 6th during the Computex trade show.

The news comes after some PC gamers expressed their frustration over Project Cars ‘performance issues’ when using an AMD card as opposed to an Nvidia one.

Should AMD announce a powerful new 390X, Chillblast expects Nvidia to cut the price of its cards and to announce a new Ti model.
