Set-top box maker Roku will be showcasing its first smart TV at CES 2014.
Roku says the device will be more straightforward than other smart TVs.
"Roku TV removes all of the complicated layers and menus, and unnecessary features and settings that plague smart TVs today, and instead provides a Roku home screen that brings together all content sources," said Roku founder Anthony Wood.
The Roku TV will eliminated the need for any boxes or dongles and will be able to be controlled via a mobile device using the official app.
It will come with a remote control with only 20 buttons, which is half the number that traditional TVs have.
Just like Roku’s streaming boxes, users of its TV will get full access to the Roku Channel Store.
Roku has partnered with TCL and Hisense to produce 32-inch and 55-inch models, which will be available in major retail stores in the second half of 2014.
