Black Friday live leaderboard: Find out which UK sites are crashing

TrafficDefender has set up a live leaderboard for UK retail sites to see how they’re coping with the demand of Black Friday.

The league table is updated hourly and is based on website availability.

At the time of writing, the last update was 9am GMT, which showed that Tesco and Schuh’s websites have suffered failures between 8am and 9pm.

“We are using external monitoring (Dynatrace APMaaS) to test the availability of 115 major retail websites throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and feeding the results into our leaderboard and live blog every hour between 09:00 and 21:00 on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday,” explained TrafficDefender.

“Last year we only tested 20 sites instead of 115, but even with the smaller sample size, we saw availability issues on 70 per cent of those tested. It will be interesting to see how many sites fall down this year.”

You can check out the live leaderboard here.

The data will be updated every hour throughout Black Friday so check back throughout the day to see how things unfold.
