Acer launches gaming projector to rival Optoma and Panasonic

Acer has presented its latest projector for gaming, rivalling the likes of Optoma and Panasonic, at a press showcase event this week.

The firm showed off the C205 LED Pocked projector which has been developed for casual gamers.

It can provide gamers with a two hours power cable free projection, an LED lifespan of up to 30,000 hours and high fidelity sound via 4W (2x2W) speakers.

Through its HDMI port gamers can hook the projector up to their gaming console as well as share multimedia content via a smartphone or tablet. Plus, the projector weighs 0.3kg.

Acer also unveiled its new range of 4K Monitors including the B, C, GN, XBO and S series, which is the first 4K2K monitor equipped with HDMI 2.0.

Many of the new monitors feature ‘flicker-less’ technology, which helps to eliminate flickering, as well as a filter that reduces exposure to blue-light.
