Covent Garden branch to open next Saturday

New Apple Store details revealed

Apple has revealed the first details of its new Covent Garden store, which it has said will open on 7 August.

According to the Evening Standard, which has seen plans for the new store, it will cover the entire four-storey building in Covent Garden Plaza, but it’s likely that only two floors will be open to the public.

Apple has reportedly been restoring the building, which dates back to 1877, for months. It reportedly features a courtyard, which will be covered by a glass roof, and customers will enter through an arcade with 20-foot stone arches and lit with gas lamps.

The firm recently opened a new store in a restored historic building in Paris’ Opéra district.
