World's largest IT distributor plans ambitious trade event and award ceremony for October 6th

Ingram Micro to take over London Eye

Ingram Micro will host a unilateral trade show at tourist hotspots The London Eye and London Film Museum on October 6th, comprising vendor exhibitions, an award ceremony, and glitzy after party at the Altitude venue.

The set-up is that a vendor will host a mini-exhibition in one of the London landmark’s pods, and use the opportunity to pitch to resellers and retailers about upcoming products 135 meters above ground level. A more traditional exhibition will be held simultaneously at the London Film Museum.

Ingram Micro, who previewed the event today to press and key vendors, is expecting between 500 and 1000 resellers to attend in October.

The exhibition will take place in the afternoon, and will be followed by an Awards ceremony and after party at the Altitude venue.

The distributor says the event is part of its ‘year of re-engagement’ with the channel, having recently taken on new UK MD Matt Sanderson.
